Willie Davis Willie Davis, of Enville, was born in Hardin County on Dec. 28, 1930, the son of the late Gaston and Cordie Clausel Davis. On Oct. 30, 1949, he was united in marriage to Wanda Grace Pugh, who survives. Mr. Davis retired from Kolpak where he was a glue booth operator. He had previously worked for Century-Gould for 11 years. He was a member of the Cherry Grove Pentecostal Church where he was the pastor since 1978. He enjoyed singing, fishing, hunting and preaching. Mr. Davis departed this life on Monday, Dec. 20, at the age of 79 years, 11 months, 22 days. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Dollie Davis Hollin and husband Jerry of Enville, Tenn.; a granddaughter, Bessica Alexander Wyatt; a great-granddaughter, Leanna Grace Wyatt; a brother, H.H. Davis of Jackson, Tenn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and eight sisters. Services will be held today, Thursday, Dec. 23, at 1 p.m., at Cherry Grove Pentecostal Church in Milledgeville, with Donald Jones, Kenneth Fields officiating. Burial will follow in the Milledgeville Cemetery at Milledgeville, Tenn.
