William “Bill” Grove (6-23-18)

William “Bill” Ross Grove, 73, of Counce, died Saturday, June 23.

Bill was a native of Memphis, born April 29, 1945. He is survived by his wife, Sharron Melson Grove; his daughter, Ashlee Dyane Grove (Tim Frankenfield); his step-son, Anthony Melson (Wendy); and three grandchildren, Ashton Melson, William Maxwell Grove and James Wyatt Grove. His son William Christopher Grove preceded him in death in 2013.

Bill was a graduate of Central High School and Memphis State University. He was employed by Chancellor and Son Inc in Memphis for more than 45 years. He spent his most memorable times outdoors: enjoying the waters of Pickwick, barbecuing for friends and family, or admiring the wildlife from the deck of his home in Counce. Pickwick Lake is where he met his wife Sharron and spent many of his happiest days.
