Wiley “Jody” Burkett Hathorn, 66, of Adamsville, passed away on Saturday, August 23,the son of the late John Lewis Hathorn, Sr. and Jacqueline Adair Pierce Hathorn.
Mr. Hathorn honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Gulf War in 1982. He later worked as a sawmill operator and truck driver.
He is survived by his daughters, Emily Moore and Kelsey Kreutzman; sons, Caleb Smith and Michael Baker Jr.; brothers, John Lewis Hathorn Jr. and James Pierce Hathorn; sisters, Jennifer Leigh Hathorn Petty, Jill Robin Hathorn Joyce and Jessica Lynn Hathorn Wyatt; and 10 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Jody was preceded in death by his sister, Jennifer Kreutzman.
Visitation will be held at Shackelford Funeral Directors In Adamsville, Tennessee, on Saturday, August 30, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 3, at the Parkers Crossroads Veteran Cemetery in Wildersville, Tennessee.
