Wesley Ward

Wesley Ward, 85, of Savannah, died Friday, Jan. 25.

He was born in Waterloo, Ala., the son of the late Byron S. and Mary Jane Shubert Ward. He was united in marriage to Billie Faye Petty, who survives.

Mr. Ward did sawmill work. He worked for Hassel Lumber Company and George Jerrolds Lumber Company. He was a member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church.

Services were held on Monday, Jan. 28, at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Savannah with Cecil Robertson, Ernie Cordova officiating. Burial followed in the Wesley’s Chapel Cemetery at Savannah.

In addition to his wife Billie of Savannah, he is survived by his children, Brenda Faulkner of North Dakota, Tracy Austin, Wesley Ward, Tom Ward, April Lamay, Becky Stricklin, John Ward, Patrick Ward, Travis Ward, Linda Brock, Jim Ward, Joyce Brown and Margret Ward, all of Savannah, John Harifield of Waverly, Miss., Mary Brewington of Texas, Wayne Ward, Ronnie Ward and Debbie Vogel, all of Nashville.

He is also survived by many many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by some grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; five sisters; and two brothers.
