Walt Pollard, 69, of Stantonville, died Monday, Sept. 1.
He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of the late Clarence Andrew and Lida Mae Hammond Pollard. He was united in marriage to Gloria Jean Michael, who survives.
Walt was a member of Landmark Pentecostal Church and had been employed with Aqua Glass.
In addition to his wife, Gloria Pollard of Stantonville, he is survived by his children, Christopher Pollard of Seymour, Tenn., Angela Pollard of Selmer, Crystal Sparks of Stantonville, Alan Cart Jr. of Morris Chapel, Jason Cart of Adamsville, Darla Browder of Biggersville, Miss., and Michael Pollard of Ohio; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brothers, Tommy Pollard of South Carolina and Bucky Pollard of Ohio; sisters, Marie Harbor of Florida, Martha Atkins of Ohio, Betty of Arizona, and Barb of Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild; seven brothers; and three sisters.
Services were held on Thursday, Sept. 4, at Landmark Pentecostal Church in Stantonville with Darrell Moffett and Brenda Scott officiating. Burial followed in the Crump Cemetery.
