Tommy Barksdale Tommy Reynolds Barksdale, of Clifton, was born Aug. 11, 1939, in Lavinia, Tenn., the son of the late Thomas "T.J." Joseph and Mildred Anna Laura Reynolds Barksdale. He was united in marriage to Joyce Ann Brinkley on Nov. 23, 1963, who survives. Mr. Barksdale was a mill operator for Norandal, U.S.A. and retired after 27 years of service. He had also worked for Milan Arsenal for many years. He was a member of the Huntingdon First United Methodist Church from 1948 until 2005 and the Clifton First United Methodist Church from 2005 until present. Mr. Barksdale departed this life on Monday, July 5, in Clifton, at the age of 70 years, 10 months, 24 days. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Tina Morris of Savannah; a son, Jeffrey Barksdale of Savannah; four grandchildren, T.J. Morris, Andrew Barksdale, Eli Morris, Natalie Barksdale; a sister, Lucy Mae Vickers of Huntingdon, Tenn. Services were held on Wednesday, July 7, at 2 p.m., at Huntingdon First United Methodist Church in Clifton, with Jim Rucker, Charles Parker officiating. Burial was in the Lavinia Cemetery at Lavinia, Tenn.
