Terrie Terry (2-27-14) service 3-1-14

Terrie Diane Swinney Terry departed this life Thursday, Feb. 27, at the age of 66 years, 10 months, 2 days.

She was born in Roselle, Ill., on April 25, 1947, the daughter of the late Norman and Elizabeth Ray Swinney. On Aug. 2, 1963, she was united in marriage to John McKinley Terry, who survives.

Terrie had lived in Spruce Pine, Ala., and Hardin County, since May 1968. She was a beautician by trade and had worked at River Heights Manufacturing for five years. She enjoyed walking, shopping, and loved people, especially her great-grandson, Hunter. Terrie was a member of First Baptist Church in Phil Campbell, Ala.

Terrie is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Terry of Crump; son, Kenny Terry of Crump; grandson, Matt Terry and wife Jessica; great-grandson, Hunter Terry; brother, Gary Swinney and wife Bert of Rockford, Ill.; sisters, Vaughn Babbics of Hickory, N. C., Jackie Woiwod and husband Orville of Dewey, Ala. and Peggy Swinney of Rockford, Ill. and a special niece, Kelly Tauber of Rockford, Ill.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Sue Horner; brothers, Weldon and Houston Swinney.
Services were held Saturday, March 1, in Savannah with Hulon Terry and Pat Terry officiating. Burial followed at Crump Cemetery in Crump.
