Stella Fraley Overton Blair, 97, of Savannah, died on Tuesday, May 1.
She was born in Clifton, the daughter of the late Willis F. Fraley and Lora Culp Fraley. She was united in marriage to Walter Overton, who preceded her in death. She was later united in marriage to Andrew F. Blair, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Blair worked as a beautician in Clifton. She had also worked as a sewing machine operator at Clifton Manufacturing. She was a honorary member of the Civinette Club in Columbia, Tennessee. She was a member of First Baptist Church Savannah.
She is survived by her stepchildren, Jean Underwood of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania and Fred Blair Jr. of Bartlett, Tennessee; five stepgrandchildren; 11 stepgreat-grandchildren; one stepgreat-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her stepson, David Blair; one stepgrandson; sisters, Pearl Matlock, Geneva Thompson, Nannie Holder, Willie Ann Hurst and Claris Hardin; and brothers, Kenneth Fraley, Wilton Battles and Farris Fraley.
Services were held on Saturday, May 5, at 11 a.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Paul Weaver officiating. Burial followed in Memory Gardens at Savannah.
