Scottie Easley, 76, of Savannah, died Wednesday, April 10.

He was born in Savannah, son of the late Edwin Louie and Eunice Kate Scott. He was united in marriage to Joyce Ann Williams, who survives.

Mr. Easley served his country in the United States National Guard. He retired as a towboat captain for Crounce Corporation of Paducah, Ky. He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church of Savannah.

Services were held on Saturday, April 13, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Greg Young officiating. Burial followed in Memory Gardens at Savannah.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Easley of Savannah; daughter, Sheila Cox of Savannah, son, Sammy Easley of Savannah, and daughter, Scottina Pickens of Adamsville; stepdaughter, Kristi Irizarry of Chesapeake, Va., and stepdaughter, Kelli Mealer of Memphis; a sister, Barbara Brown; and two brothers, Thomas Doyle Easley and Leon Easley, both of Savannah; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a stepmother, Hester Easley; daughter, Sandra Burns; three sisters, Ruth Cook, Edwyna Lewis and Nita Ferrell; and three brothers, Louie, Ronnie and Billy Easley.
