Sarah Lewell Lee was born Jan. 12, 1916, in McNairy County, Tenn., the daughter of the late Luther Carl and Myrtle Lugene Boswell Wilds.

She was united in marriage to Hayes Petty Lee. Mr. Lee preceded her in death on Nov. 27, 1962.

Mrs. Lee worked for the Hardin and McNairy County Boards of Education for 44 years, teaching at Pickwick Southside and Michie High School. She was a member of the National Education Association, the alumni organizations for Lambuth University and the University of Memphis, and the Lebanon United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Lee departed this life on Tuesday, Feb. 1, in Corinth, Miss., at the age of 95 years, 20 days. She is survived by a son, Philip Michael Lee and wife Rhonda of Michie; four grandchildren: Christopher Michael Lee of Michie, Jesse Colton Lee of Ramer, Lauren (Culver) Tallant of Michie, Kristy (Sweat) Kimbley of Selmer; three great-grandchildren: Gwyneth Kimbley, Chloe Kimbley, Allie Marie Tallant; two sisters, Mary (Wilds) Bagley and husband Bill of Hanover Park, Ill. and Phyllis (Wilds) Carpenter and husband Ernest of Stillwater, Okla.; two brothers, Neal Wilds and wife Jane of Cleveland, Ohio and James Wilds and wife Betsy of Michie; five nieces: Martha Lou Strothers, Tina Holt, Rebecca Heitz, Tammy Caughern, Donna Lemonier; five nephews: James Frederick Strothers, James L. Wilds, Christopher Wilds, Timothy Lemonier, Keith Bagley; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy Hayes "Pat" (Lee) Sweat; a son, Brent Wilds Lee; three sisters: Bonnie Wilds, Grace L. (Wilds) Bickley, Martha Leona (Wilds) Strothers; and a brother, T. J. Wilds.

Services were held on Saturday, Feb. 5, at 1 p.m., at Lebanon United Methodist Church in Michie with John Holcombe, Neal Wilds, Steve Webb officiating. Burial followed in the Pebble Hill Cemetery at Michie.
