Sandy Jacobson Sandy Jacobson was born in San Mateo County, Calif., on Aug. 7, 1946, the daughter of the late Ova and Martha Jewell Rushing Pearson. On Sept. 27, 1969, she was united in marriage to Elmer Jacobson, who survives. Mrs. Jacobson worked for J&J Transportation and was a member of the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. She was a resident of Hardin County since 1993. She enjoyed arts, crafts, cooking for everyone and loved her family. Mrs. Jacobson departed this life on Sunday, Jan. 2, at the age of 64 years, 4 months, 26 days. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Tammy D. Jerrolds and husband Bryce of Savannah; step-son, Kevin Jacobson and wife Karleen of Fairbanks, Alaska; a sister, Sarah Ann Hopper of Crump; three grandchildren, Emily Jill Winborn and husband Les, Cory Bryce Jerrolds and Matthew C. Jerrolds; two step-grandchildren, Sara Elizabeth Jacobson and Zachary "Zach" Jacobson; two great-grandchildren, Carson Luke Snider and Erin Kayte Winborn. Services were held on Wednesday, Jan. 5, at 1 p.m., at Mount Hermon Baptist Church in Savannah with Artie Rivers officiating. Burial was in the Mount Hermon Baptist Church at Savannah.
