Rowena Benson (1-13-18) service 1-18-18

Rowena Lee Stevenson Benson, 63, of Savannah, died on Saturday, Jan. 13.
She was born in Weakley County, Tennessee, the daughter of William Bruce Stevenson and the late Sylvia Bradley Stevenson. She was united in marriage to Willie R. Benson, who survives.
Mrs. Benson attended Savannah Church of God. She had worked at Angelica and as a seamstress at Wise Company.
In addition to her husband, Willie Benson and father, William Bruce Stevenson, she is survived by her daughters, Amanda Warman of Murfreesboro, Trish Shubert of Savannah and Amber Coleman of Selmer; brother, Lynn Stevenson of Savannah; sisters, Sanja Reeves and Juanita McBride, both of Savannah; and six grandchildren.
Along with her mother, Sylvia Bradley Stevenson, she was preceded in death by her sister, Paula Louise Stevenson, and one grandchild.
Services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 18, at 3 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Chad Balentine, Bobby Pickens and Clint Overton officiating. Burial will follow in Neill Cemetery at Savannah.
