Ronald Sellers Ronald (Ronnie) James Sellers died peacefully at Specialty Select Hospital on Jan. 15, with his beloved wife and children at his bedside. Ronnie, age 72, was born July 25, 1938, in Jackson, Tenn. He received his education in Medina, Humboldt and Jackson. Ronnie served in the Tennessee National Guard, was a 32nd degree Mason affiliated with Masonic Lodge 45 and VFW Post 90. He was a lifetime member of PGA Partners. He was an accomplished businessman having owned several furniture and clothing stores. It was his lifelong dream to retire to Florida with his wife to pursue his love of golf. He was able to play daily and was truly happy as a 10-year employee of Valencia Golf and Country Club in Naples, Fla. Ill health forced his return to Tennessee where he continued his retirement at Pickwick Lake, near his family. Ronnie was predeceased by his son Vance, mother Mildred, father L.L., brothers Larry and Fred, sister Beverly Watson and grandson Joshua Kent. Ronnie is survived by his wife of 26 years Susan Meriwether Sellers, children Keith (Jennifer), Tom (Lisa), Janet London, Jennifer (Charles) Smith, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, sisters Patricia (Roger) Kiddy, Sheila (Danny) Murley, brother Sam (Rita). Visitation was held at George A. Smith North with services in the chapel. Graveside services were private. As a remembrance of his beloved companion Bubba and other special furry children, donations may be sent in lieu of flowers to any local ASPCA.
