Roger Word (6-23-18) service 6-27-18

Roger Dale Word, 63, of Savannah, died on Saturday, June 23.

He was born in Hardin County, the son of Mollie Lavada Bevis Word and the late Rayford Lee Word.

Mr. Word attended White’s Creek Baptist Church in Savannah. He was self-employed at Word Vinyl Siding for 15 years.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sons, Thomas Bradley Word of Selmer and Roger Edssel Lee Word of Savannah; daughters, Jennifer Word of Selmer and Virginia McComb Presley of Savannah; brothers, Donald Word of Nashville and Johnny Word of Savannah; and six grandchildren.

Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond Word and Jack Word; and his sister, Clara Ruth Word.

Services were held on Wednesday, June 27, at White’s Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Savannah with Keith Holloway officiating. Burial followed in White’s Creek Cemetery at Savannah.
