Robert Majors (8-19-18) service 8-22-18

Robert Gerald Majors, 87, of Adamsville, died on Sunday, Aug. 19, in Adamsville.

He was born in Adamsville, the son of the late Leland and Mable Nichols Majors. He was united in marriage to Gwendolyn Cardwell, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Majors served First Presbyterian Church in Adamsville as an elder for more than 50 years. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for more than 50 years at Majors Insurance Agency.

He is survived by a daughter, Kara Majors Hill of Adamsville; a brother, Billy Majors of Adamsville; and three grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Gerald “Bobby” Majors II and Clint Majors.

Services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 22, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville  with Kevin Majors and Burney Anderson officiating. Burial followed in Adamsville Cemetery.
