Robert Jaggars
James Robert Jaggars was born Nov. 28, 1943 in Stantonville, Tenn., the son of the late Amos and Inez Massey Jaggars.
He was united in marriage to Pamela Ward on Nov. 27, 1989. Mrs. Jaggars preceded him in death on Feb. 22, 2013.
Mr. Jaggars was a sheriff deputy for the Hardin County Sheriff Department, and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He served his country in the United States Army and the Army National Guard. He loved spending time with his family and friends, working in his flower beds, mowing his yard, boating at the river, sitting at the table eating a meal with family and friends, having a good cup of coffee, and often you would find him with a peach Nehi drink.
Mr. Jaggars departed this life on Monday, March 4, in Stantonville, Tenn., at the age of 69 years, 3 months, 4 days.
He is survived by a daughter, Robbie Lynn Hunt and husband Gerald of Lavinia, Tenn.; two sons, Robert Dakota Jaggars of Stantonville, Tenn., Justin Davis and wife Jeannie of Stantonville, Tenn.; three brothers, Ronnie Jaggars and wife Remona of Monticello, Ark., Tony Jaggars and Johnny Jaggars, both of Savannah; one sister, Loraine Blalock of Savannah, two sister-in-law, Rebecca Byrd and husband Steve of Midland, Texas, Donna Ray of Savannah; six grandchildren, Lynn Ingle, Mitchell Ingle, Jason Davis, Reeanna Ingle, Jasmine Johnson, and Chamberly Martin.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Jaggars was preceded in death by a daughter, Bridgett Jaggars; a sister, Dollie Sue Cauley; two brothers, Tommy Jaggars and Billie Jaggars.
Services were held on Thursday, March 7, at 3 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville, with Eric Jones officiating. Burial followed in the Stantonville Cemetery at Stantonville, Tenn.
