Robert Gurley Robert Gurley, 74, of Savannah, died Friday, Sept. 16, in Savannah. He was born in Decatur County, Tenn., the son of the late John Franklin and Queenie Elizabeth Middleton Gurley. Mr. Gurley was a machine operator for 30 years for Sunstrand Incorporated in Dowagiac, Mich. He played guitar at Unity Broadcasting in Adamville. Mr. Gurley was a member of Wayside Ministries. Services were held on Wednesday, Sept. 21, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Gerald Duncan officiating. Burial followed in the Adamsville Cemetery at Adamsville. He is survived by two daughters, Kathy Brown of Selmer and Judy Suarez of Morris Chapel; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild; four sisters, Dorothy Diaz of Harrisburg, Penn., Ruth Thompson of St. Louis, Mo., Cathy Stockburger of Berrien Springs, Mich. and Sarah Bright of Selmer. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas, James and Johnny Gurley; and one sister, Lucille Mann.
