Robert Barlow Robert Barlow, 81, of Counce, died Thursday, Aug. 16. He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Robert Aubrey and Mary Lucille Barlow. He was united in marriage to Peggy Kinsey, who preceded him in death. Mr. Barlow was a veteran, serving in the Air Force. He was a property manager for Central Woodwork of Memphis for 40 years. He owned the Redwood Hut in Counce for 10 years. He was a member of Pickwick United Methodist Church and a member of the Pickwick Shriners Savannah Lodge 102. He served as commissioner of Hardin County, a school board member, a school bus driver and served on the Water Utility Board. Services were held on Saturday, Aug. 18, at Pickwick United Methodist Church in Counce with Richard Haley officiating. Burial followed in the White Sulphur Cemetery at Pickwick Dam. He is survived by three sons, George Robert Barlow Jr. of Counce, Tommy Len Barlow of Katy, Texas and James Alfred Barlow of Abilene, Texas; a daughter, Sherry Lipford of Counce; a brother Melvin Barlow of Los Cruces, N.M.; a sister, Nancy Barlow of Boulder City, Nev.; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by an infant sister.
