Raymond Keirns (4-13-10) services 4-16-10

Raymond F. Keirns, 64, Savannah, died Tuesday, April 13.

He was born in Athens, Ohio, the son of the late Raymond and Ruth Mitchell Keirns. He was united in marriage to Mary Jane Carney, who survives.

Mr. Keirns was employed with The Wise Company as an assembler for 17 years and he was a member of the National Rifle Association.

Services were held on Friday, April 16, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Harry Nolen officiating. Burial was in the Pyburn Cemetery at Hardin County.

In addition to his wife, Mary Jane of Savannah, he is survived by a son, Michael Keirns of Savannah; two sisters, Jennie Reed of Arcadia, Fla. and Jean Pennington of Albany, Ohio; two brothers, Kenneth Keirns of Pittsford, Mich. and Clyde (Bud) Keirns of South Salem, Ohio; four grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Keirns; and a brother, Jackie Keirns.
