Ralph Chandler

Ralph D. Chandler, 80, of Adamsville, died Monday, Aug. 16.

He was born in Carroll County, Tenn., the son of the late Hulon Clyde and Irene Vancleave Chandler. He was united in marriage to Faye Rich, who survives.

Mr. Chandler was a general contractor with Pettigrew & Chandler Contracting Company. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Adamsville.

Services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 18, at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Huntingdon, Tenn., with Phil Mitchell officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery at Huntingdon, Tenn. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer are in charge of arrangements.

In addition to his wife, Faye Chandler of Adamsville, he is survived by three daughters, Donna Marshall Whitten of Adamsville, Sande Jackson Arnold of Adamsville, Jane Fielder of Savannah; a son, James Chandler of Adamsville; a sister, Dorothy Nell Chandler Carl of Florissant, Mo.; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Ralph Donald Chandler Jr.; a sister, Betty Jean Chandler; two brothers, Gerald and Neal Chandler.
