Pat Vickers, 85, of Savannah, passed away on Monday, Aug. 26. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on Dec. 30, 1938, the daughter of the late John C. and Willie Mae Singleton Dover.
Pat worked for Schering- Plough in Memphis, Tennessee. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee, where she was a dedicated member. Pat was a giver, she did local mission work, helped distribute food, visited nursing homes, and always helped where ever she could.
She is survived by her children, Janice Cunningham and her husband Fred of Middleton, Tennessee, Joanna Dowty of Savannah, Tennessee, and Calvin Vickers Jr. and his wife Stacy of Sommerville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Bryan Rushing, Rob Brown Jr., Brittany Rushing, Jenna Vickers, Whitley Vickers, Leslie Deberry and Brandon Harris; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alayna, Abigail, Angelina, Jamison, Kailie, J. B., and Waylon; sister, Nancy Jackson and her husband Buddy of Arkansas; and brother, Rick Dover and his wife Diane of Bartlett, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by one son, James C. Justice; brother, John C. Dover; and sisters, Sandra Dover and Nita Locke.
Memorial services were held on Saturday, Aug. 31, at Southside Baptist Church in Savannah, with Mike Anderson officiating. Burial followed at Neill Cemetery in Savannah.
