Onedia “Miss O” Shutt Beteta, 81, of Savannah died Friday, April 18, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson. She was the daughter of the late Arthur Jowers and Elsie Shelby Shutt. She was united in marriage to Antonia Beteta, who preceded her in death.
She was employed by Garan Manufacturing in Adamsville. She was a member of Riverview Baptist Church in Savannah.
She is survived by two children, Samuel J. Stewart of Union Town, Pa. and Renita Brown of Booneville, Miss.; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two brothers, James Shutt and Otis Thurman Shutt, both of Savannah.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Martha Shutt, Sue Hubbard, Johnny Shutt and Cornelia Brown.
Services were held Wednesday, April 23, in Savannah with Allen Guyer officiating. Burial followed at Mount Hermon Cemetery in Hardin County.
