Mildred Barrier (7-29-13) service 7-31-13

Mildred “Malmaw” Barrier, 79, died on Monday, July 29, at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah.
She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Cecil Edward and Lois Cossey Scott. She was united in marriage to Bobby Dean Barrier, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Barrier worked for Angelica Manufacturing Company in Savannah as a sewing machine operator.
Services were held on Tuesday, July 31, at 11 a.m. at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Jimmy McGee officiating. Burial followed in the Whites Creek Cemetery in Hardin County. 
She is survived by her three daughters, Bobbie Swaffer of Savannah, Cathy LaRu of Red Bay, Ala., and Debra White of Waterloo, Ala.; three sons, D.J., David and Dewey Barrier, all of Savannah; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Artie Mae Stricklin and Annie Lou Wilder both of Savannah, and Martha Staggs of Decatur, Ala.; and two brothers, Jerry and Wilburn Scott, both of Savannah.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Aaron Barrier; one brother, Billy Wayne Scott; and one grandchild.
