Maude Melson Ingle, 100, died Monday, April 15.

She was born in Wayne County, Tenn. She was united in marriage to George Ingle, who preceded her in death. They had three children. The oldest, Jane Ollie, died soon after birth.

Maude was a member of Eureka Methodist Church. When her husband George passed in 1973, she began working outside the home, mostly as a cook at different restaurants. She joined Southside Baptist. She sang in different quartets and the choir there for years.

Services were held on Thursday, April 18, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Benny Taylor officiating. Burial followed in the Memory Gardens at Savannah.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Taylor of Santa Clarita, Calif.; son, William Ingle of Savannah; six grandchildren; seven great-grandsons; one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her brother Earl; and sisters Mae, Merle and Carnie.
