Mattie Kiddy (2-28-17) service 3-4-17

Mattie Charline Emerson Kiddy, 79, of Waynesboro, died on Tuesday, Feb. 28, in Waynesboro.
She was born in Madison County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Robert Holland and Alma Violet White Emerson. She was united in marriage to Ernest Ray Kiddy, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Kiddy was a homemaker and was of Baptist belief.
She is survived by her two children, Ricky Joe Walford of Hornbeak, Tennessee, and Jeanette Burkhead of Waynesboro; 22 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Johnny Emerson and David Emerson, both of Brownsville, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Billy Ray Kiddy and Archie Lee Kiddy; one daughter, Jackie Lee Thacker; two brothers, Larry Emerson and Ferrell Emerson; three sisters, Marie Overton, Barbara Sipes and Rhonda Mae Moshier; and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held on Saturday, March 4, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Kyle Wishert officiating. Burial followed in Old Union Cemetery at Adamsville.
