Mary S. Young, 75, of Savannah, died on Thursday, June 19, in Jackson, Tennessee.
She was born in Colima, Mexico, the daughter of the late Vicente Ramirez-Reyes and Maria de Jesus-Garcia de Ramirez. She was united in marriage to Herbert Alton Young, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Young was a member of Soul’s Harvest Church of God and Savannah Church of God Prophecy. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a CNA for Hardin County Health and Rehabilitation Center and as a part-time translator for Hardin Medical Center.
She is survived by her two sons, Roland Young of Ashland City, Tennessee and Kerby Young of Port St. Joe, Florida; five grandchildren; two sisters, Alicia and Letiza; and two brothers, Pepe Raul and Enrique.
Services were held on Friday, June 22, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Bobby Pickens officiating. Burial will be in Nuevo Cemeterio Guadalajara, Mexico.
