Mary Wintjen was born in Decaturville on June 13, 1951, the daughter of the late J. C. and Delta Inman Keymon. On April 27, 1977, she was united in marriage to Jerrold L. Wintjen, who preceded his wife in death on Feb. 9, 2002. Mary lived in McNairy County most of her life. She enjoyed Facebooking, debating, Bible study, singing and most of all she loved being a grandma. Mary was an inspector for Praxis in Savannah.
She departed this life on Dec. 14 in Jackson at the age of 62 years, six months and one day.
She is survived by her two daughters, Tracy Wintjen Swift and husband Chris of Savannah and Jerrie Morris and husband Jason of Adamsville; five grandchildren, Gabby Morris, Christian Swift, Austyn Morris, Jordan Morris and Maddie Swift; two brothers, David Keymon and his wife Marsha and Timmy Keymon, all of Savannah; four sisters, Dottie Wilkey of Braidwood, Ill., Sue Wilczak and her husband Mike of Braidwood, Ill., Sandy McFarland and her husband Vernon of Galveston, Ind. and Sharon Holsapple of Coal City, Ill.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Glynn (Buddy) Keymon. Services were held Dec. 18 in Savannah with Philip Meek, Jeff Urban, and Paul Weaver officiating. Burial followed at Graham Cemetery in Savannah.
