Mary Kathryn Parson departed this life to be with Jesus on Monday, Feb. 25, at her home surrounded by family.

She was born July 20, 1944, in Corinth, Mississippi, to W.R. and Mary Williams Franks.

Mrs. Parson graduated from Corinth High School in 1962.  She formerly worked as a telephone operator with South Central Bell for 18 years, but her primary role in life was that of a loving wife and mother.

She leaves her husband of over 50 years, Leslie Parson, and her daughter, Paige Seay, both of Michie; grandson, Jessie Seay of Jackson, Tennessee; three brothers, Donald Franks and wife Gwen of Corinth, Mississippi, Scotty Franks and wife Sandy and Andy Franks and wife Sharron, all of Waco, Texas; three sisters, Jeannie Simms and husband G.W. and Sue Walker, all of Corinth, Mississippi, Joyce Parson of Michie; four sisters by marriage whom she loved dearly and who loved her, Loraine Spencer and husband Dennis of Michie; Dora Jane Hill of Gulfport, Mississippi; Carolyn Allred and husband James of Counce; Kay Chessor and husband Pat of Michie; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a host of wonderful friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, W.R. and Mary Williams Franks; two brothers, Wayne and Tom Franks; and her in-laws, Herbert and Virrine Parson.

A graveside service was held on Feb. 27, at Center Hill Cemetery in Counce with George Kyle and Keith Driskell officiating.
