Mary Frances McCasland Hardin Mary Frances McCasland Hardin was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late William Adley and Jessie Madras Wilson McCasland. On May 12, 1943, she was united in marriage to Billy Gipson (Gip) Hardin, who preceded his wife in death on July 11, 2008. Mrs. Hardin loved to cook, gardening, and flowers. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Mt. View Church of Christ. Mrs. Hardin departed this life on Monday, April 18, at the age of 87 years, 6 months, 21 days. Mrs. Hardin is survived by a son, Jimmy Lynn Hardin and wife Jo Hazel of Savannah; two daughters, Phyllis Bullard and husband Dan, and Regina "Bug" Cromwell, all of Savannah; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Hardin Davis; a son, Sammy Truman Hardin; a brother, W.A. (Al) McCasland Jr. Services were held on Friday, April 22, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Joe Paul Bryant officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery at Hardin County.
