Mark Payne (2-9-14) service 2-15-14

Mark Payne, 53, of Rock Spring, Ga., passed away Sunday, Feb. 9. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Mark was an avid motorcycle and car enthusiast; was adventurous, greatly enjoyed the outdoors including hiking. He was a loving father and grandfather who loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Survivors include his daughters, Jennifer Marie (Cole) Morgan of San Clemente, Calif. and Rachel Faye Payne of Warner Robins, Ga.; four grandchildren, Braydon, Bradley and Brooklynn Morgan and Jeremiah Payne; parents, William Martin and Edith Faye Payne of Savannah; sisters, Vicki (Wes) Cummins of Carlyle, Ill., and Mary Beth Payne of Savannah; special friend, Regina Juanita Gardner of Rock Spring, Ga., and mother of his children, Tracy Gilchrist, Warner Robins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Payne and nephew, Lance Payne.

Memorial services were held Saturday, Feb. 15, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace with Ken Chambers officiating. Visitation followed the service at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace (423) 877-3524.
