Lucy Meeuwig
Lucy Mae Meeuwig was born in Hardin County, Tenn., on Dec. 26, 1924, the daughter of the late Roxie Norval.
In November of 1957, she was united in marriage to Bob Meeuwig, who preceded his wife in death in 1988.
Mrs. Lucy was the owner and operator of Face and Form for 20 years and Lucy’s Fashions for six years. She was a member of East End United Methodist Church since 1954, member of the Humane Society and Woodmen of the World and former member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club. Mrs. Lucy loved animals very much. She adopted and rescued them. She also enjoyed traveling, visiting and eating out with her friends.
She departed this life on Jan. 25, in Savannah, at the age of 88 years and 30 days.
Mrs. Lucy is survived by two nieces, one nephew and a host of friends.
In addition to her mother and her husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Joe Norval and Gene Norval.
Services were held on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Robert Sadler, David Baker officiating. Burial followed in the Memory Gardens at Savannah.
