Loyd “Moe” Davis, 87, of Savannah, died Thursday, Feb. 19, in Jackson, Tennessee.
He was born in Alcorn County, Mississippi, the son of the late Elbert Lee and Lillian Beatrice Greenhaw Davis. He was united in marriage to Lela Pearl Duboise, who survives.
Mr. Davis was a truck driver for Davis Brothers Concrete. He also worked for Granville Williams, Pete Brown, Claude Jones and Grady Qualls. He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife Lela, he is survived by his children, Shirley Ann Banks of Adamsville, Lillian Lucille Stewart of Savannah, Leland Eugene “Bo” Davis of Savannah, Ellen Veronica “Vee” Wilkerson of Crump,  Donnie Davis of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, Ronald Davis of Savannah, Debbie Warren of Crump, Loyd Junior “Bug” Davis of Adamsville, Teresa Jo Lish of Humboldt, Tennessee and Samantha Buttram of Savannah; 41 grandchildren, 80 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Noble Hollins, Nellie Ruth Hollins and Sybil Annette Blakney, all of Corinth, Mississippi; and one brother, Thomas Elbert Davis of Iuka, Mississippi.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, William Lee Lambert and Elbert Franklin Davis; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held on Monday, Feb. 23, at Church on the Rock in Savannah with Larry Rich and Thomas Davis officiating. Burial followed in the Crump Cemetery at Crump.
