Lois Bevis
Lois Bevis, 84, of Lutts, died on Wednesday, June 26, at Hardin Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Savannah.
She was born in Wayne County, the daughter of the late Turner Whit and Roxie McFall Hinton. She was united in marriage to Robert Owen Bevis, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Bevis worked as a seamstress for Brown Shoe Company in Savannah. She was a member of Second Creek Church of Christ.
A graveside service was held on Friday,June 28, at Centenary Cemetery in Wayne County, with Randy Cook officiating.
She is survived by four daughters, Jeanette Phillips, Becky Franks, and Vicki Wilkerson, all of Lutts, and Janice Hopkins of Stantonville; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter; five brothers, Lawson, Marvin, Clark, Boyce and RD Hinton; four sisters, Cora McGee, Ora McFall, Flora McFall and Dona Morris; and one grandchild.
