Leamon Pipes, 70, of Savannah, died on Wednesday, July 10, at the Hardin Medical Health and Rehabilitation Center in Savannah.
He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late John and Ethel Smith Pipes. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Jane Crotts, who survives.
He worked for Dow Chemical Company and was also a self-employed painter. He attended Spoken Word Ministry of Savannah.
Service were held on Saturday, July 13, at 11 a.m. at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with J.P. Gillis officiating. Burial followed in the Bethlehem Cemetery at Olive Hill.
In addition to his wife he is also survived by a son, William E. Pipes, of Brazoria, Texas; a daughter, Janine L. Pipes of Texas; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by three brothers, Joe Pipes, Robert Pipes and William Pipes; and four sisters. Joyce Legan, Icie Price, Josie Franks and Lillie Mae Franks.
