L.D. "Red" Moore, 73, of Crump died Monday, April 7, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. He was born in Morris Chapel, the son of the late Lester and Pauline Moore. He was united in marriage to Shirley Slate who survives.
He retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Ricky, Richard and Debbie; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Green of Iuka, Miss. and Brenda South of Mississippi, and two brothers, Bobby Moore of Mississippi and James Moore of Tulsa, Okla.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Rusty and daughter, Shirley Rose; a sister, Emma Welder, and three brothers, Harold Moore, Jerry Moore and James Calvin Moore.
Services were held Thursday, April 10 in Savannah with Gene Hanna officiating. Burial followed at Old Union Cemetery in Hardin County.
