L.B. Gann L. B. Gann, age 85, Savannah, passed on July 24. He is preceded in death by parents, James Benton and Lida (Franks); sister, Marie Seals; brother, Willie; son, Randall. He is survived by siblings, Jesse Gann of Florence, Ala., Robert (Sandy) Gann of Savannah, Melvin (Val) Gann if Isleton, Calif., Shirley (Gary) Eades of Mishawaka, Ind.; children, Danny (Marise) Gann of South Bend, Ind., Brenda (Robert) Martin of Lancaster, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Barb Gann of Roseland, Ind.; along with 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. L.B. served in the Army and Army Air Corps, defending his country during World War II in the European theatre. After the war he returned to farming in his native Tennessee. L.B. Gann moved to South Bend in the early 1950s where he owned and operated several area restaurants before retiring and returning to the Savannah area. Services will be held on Thursday, July 28, at 3 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah. Burial will follow in the Neill Cemetery at Savannah.
