Laura Jean Frazier Hinton departed this life on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at Wayne Medical Center, Waynesboro, at the age of 85 years, 9 months, 29 days.
She was born Jan. 20, 1929, in Wayne County, the daughter of the late Hugh Frazier and Josie Perry Frazier.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sons, L.B. and Steve Hinton; daughter, Sandra Hinton; brothers, C.R. and Granville Frazier; and sister, Mildred Vandiver.
Mrs. Hinton was a homemaker and a member of the Green River Tabernacle Church, Waynesboro.
She is survived by sons, Christopher (Chris) Hinton and Phillip Hinton, both of Florence, Alabama, Terry Hinton and Johnny Hinton, both of Cloverdale, Alabama, Thomas Hinton of Cypress Inn, Tennessee; three grandchildren; brothers, Melvini Frazier of Iron City, Tennessee, Anthony Frazier and Elbert Frazier, both of Savannah; sisters, Christine Victory of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, Mary Helen Franks of Olive Hill and Ellen Kilburn of Crump; and nieces and nephews.
Services were Friday, Nov. 21, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, with Larry Janes officiating. Burial was in Lutts Cemetery, Lutts, Tennessee, with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers were Jeffery Franks, Glen Frazier, David Henson, Danny Kilburn, John Montgomery, Scotty Wesson, Keith Vandiver and Gary Frazier.
