Larry Aaron Finley, 72, of Adamsville, died on Friday, Jan. 19
He was born in McNairy County, the son of the late Joel Gilbert and Mary Ann Martin Finley. He was united in marriage to Willodean Landreth, who survives.
Mr. Finley was a truck driving and carpenter. He attended Adamsville Free Will Baptist Church. He was instrumental in the building of Bruton Branch Baptist Church in Savannah.
He is survived by his wife, Willodean Finley of Adamsville; daughter, Lori Sullivan of Nashville; sons, Larry Finley Jr. of Hartsville, Tennessee, Joel Finley of Maine; stepdaughter, Lisa Southern of Crump; three stepsons, Tony Pipkins of Savannah, Dewayne Harville of Stantonville, Josh Harville of Adamsville; a brother, Mike Finley of Selmer; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Ray; four sisters; and six brothers.
Services were held on Sunday, Jan. 21, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville with Chad Balentine and Scott Stout officiating. Burial followed in Mars Hill Cemetery at Adamsville.
