Larry Baxter

Larry (Fat Cat) Baxter, 60, of Adamsville, died Sunday, April 3, in Jackson, Tenn.

He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Robert and Bonnie Harville Baxter. He was united in marriage to Linda Springer, who survives.

Mr. Baxter worked 20 years as a first mate for Pillsbury Towing Company. After retiring from Pillsbury, he operated a paving machine for APAC Construction Company. He was a Methodist in belief.

Services were held on Tuesday, April 5, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville with Darrell Mofett and Brenda Scott officiating. Burial followed in the Piney Grove Cemetery near Savannah.

In addition of his wife, Linda Baxter of Adamsville, he is survived by a daughter, Robbie Hunt of Lavinia, Tenn.; a son, Heath Baxter of Arkansas; four grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Gregory Lee Baxter.
