Kimberly Gayle Weatherspoon, 64, of Martin, Tennessee, formerly of Savannah, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, the daughter of the late Floyd Edward and JoAnn Burns Weatherspoon.
Gayle dedicated most of her working life at Riverwick Assisted Living in Savannah, and Weakley County Nursing Home in Dresden, Tennessee.
She is survived by her daughters, Shakeema Cherelle Lowery, Tianna West and Makenzie Skinner Bishop; son, Micheal Konrad Skinner Bishop; and her siblings, Floyd Edward Witherspoon Jr., Sherian Denise Hartnest, Stevie Norvell Weatherspoon, Victor Wayne Weatherspoon, Gavin Terrell Weatherspoon, and Elizabeth Ann McCoy.
In addition to her parents, Kim was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Ann Alexander and Catina Weatherspoon; brother, James Edward Burns; and her significant other, David Skinner.
Instead of flowers, the family would be grateful if donations could be made to the American Heart Association in Gayle’s honor.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Rev. Charles Daniels officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens in Savannah.
