Kimberly A. Barker, 44 of Nashville, died Monday, May 12.
Kimberly was formerly the Director of Tennessee Poison Center at Vanderbilt and now associate professor at Lipscomb University, College of Pharmacy. She was a 1987 graduate of Columbia Academy and a member of Brentwood Hills Church of Christ.
She is survived by a daughter, Jane Vanderburgh; parents, Rick and Lynda Barker; a brother, Bo (Shannon) Barker; a niece, Annyston Barker; a nephew, Blake Barker and furry companion of two years, Sydney Beth.
Visitation was held Wednesday, May 14, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, May 15, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, May 15, at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road, in Nashville with Walt Lever officiating. Interment was at Memory Gardens in Savannah. Family and friends served as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jane Vanderburgh Educational Fund c/o First Tennessee Bank.
