On Monday, Dec. 14, Keith Allen Briley passed away at his home in Horn Lake, Mississippi, at the age of 53.

Keith was born on Feb. 27, 1967, in Tupelo, Mississippi, to Paul and Ila Briley.

Keith leaves behind a girlfriend, Tammy Turner of Savannah; a daughter, Tessa Murphy of Memphis; a brother, Kevin (Susan) Briley of Jacksonville, Alabama; a sister, Paula (Raymond) Jennings of Bartlett, Tennessee; one nephew; and three nieces.

Keith was a member of White Station Church of Christ in Memphis. Keith was the city planner for the city of Hernando, Mississippi. For 30 years he worked in civil engineering and city and urban planning in Memphis, Germantown, Tennessee, Oxford, and Horn Lake, Mississippi. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering technology and a Master’s degree of city and regional planning from the University of Memphis. Keith was a member of Pi Kappa Phi, the American Institute of Certified Planners, and the American Planning Association. He was an avid University of Memphis Tiger football and basketball fan.

A service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, Jan. 9, at White Station Church of Christ, Memphis, at 1 p.m. Visitation will begin at noon. Wear your Tiger Blue to honor Keith. You may honor him further by donating to your house of worship or to your favorite charity.
