Jr. Brewer Jr. Brewer, 70, of Savannah, died Thursday, Feb. 16, in Jackson, Tenn. He was born in Lutts, the son of the late Austin Ray Brewer Sr. and Cynthia Neda Rainey Vandiver. Mr. Brewer was an auto mechanic and a veteran of the National Guard. He also did small engine repair, farm equipment repair and was a mussel fisherman. Services were held on Sunday, Feb. 19, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Danny Keymon officiating. Burial followed in the Memory Gardens at Savannah. He is survived by one son, Jimmy Brewer of Savannah; and one daughter, Lisa Hawkins of Savannah; six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren; two sisters, Kitti Schuy of Fries, Va. and Barbara White of Savannah; three brothers, James Robert Shubert of Waycross, Ga., Jimmy Earl Shubert of Savannah and Henderson Donald Shubert of Savannah; his step-father, Melvin Vandiver of Savannah. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Teressa Nell Brewer; one sister, Ruby Vaughn; two brothers, Sammy Lee and Earnest Joe Shubert; and his step-father, James Shubert.
