Joyce Marie Herman Sutton was born Dec. 11, 1946, in St. Petersburg, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John “Bud” Herman and Rebecca Jacobs Herman and her identical twin sister, Judy Fargo and brother, Jim Graves.

Mrs. Sutton lived in Auburndale, Fla., for 50 years before moving to Hardin County, where she lived for 10 years. She was a homemaker who served at one time as the president of the Parents’ and Teachers’ Association of Auburndale, Fla. She was a member of Robertson Chapel United Methodist Church in Savannah and  a member of the choir and the United Methodist Women. She loved taking care of her family, working alongside her church family, and canning fruits and vegetables.

Mrs. Sutton departed this life Saturday, March 29, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis at the age of 67 years, 3 months and 18 days.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Joseph Woodrow Sutton of Savannah, originally from Auburndale, Fla.; her children, Barbara and (Kevin) Orr of Soddy Daisy and Lonny “Sport” Sutton of Auburndale, Fla.; and grandchildren, Gary and (Traci) Orr, Kayci and (Jordan) Crane, Jessica and (Jerry) Paul, and Kaley and Christopher Sutton.

Services will be held Thursday, April 3, at 11 a.m. at Robertson Chapel United Methodist Church in Savannah with Jason Estes officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery in Lawrenceburg.
