Joseph White Joseph White, 39, of Savannah, died Feb. 5, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. He was born in Elyria, Ohio, the son of James T. and Janice A. Smith White. He was united in marriage to Melissa Jane Austin, who survives. Mr. White worked as a lumber stacker for Roach’s Sawmill. He also help build water slides for 20 years. Mr. White attended Nixon Pentecostal Lighthouse Church. Services will be held on Friday, Feb. 10, at 1 p.m., at Nixon Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Savannah with Ernie Cordova officiating. In addition to his wife, Melissa of Savannah, he is survived by one daughter, Jessica Leeann White of Savannah; his parents, James and Janice Smith White of Savannah; four sisters, Jamie White, Jackie White, Judy Osteen and Samantha White, all of Savannah; two brothers, Jimmy and Jonathan White, both of Savannah; and a host of nieces and nephews.
