John Beckham (2-14-14) service 2-17-14

John Beckham was born June 26, 1926, in Saint Louis, Mo,, to the late Roy Clifford and Mary Theresa Lee Beckham. On July 28, 1962, he was united in marriage to Coydean Williams, who survives.

Mr. Beckham grew up in Pinhook, Tenn., was a member of Second Creek Church of Christ, and was a finance director for the Phoenix Union High School System in Phoenix, Ariz., for many years.

In addition to his wife Coydean, he is survived by two daughters, Krysta Beckham Pickens and her husband David of Savannah and Beverly Beckham England and her husband Kerry of Smiths Grove, Ky.; a son, James Clifford Beckham and his wife Janice of Mount Juliet; nine grandchildren, Sarah Ray, Levi Ray, Kara England, Rebecca England, John Beckham, Seth Pickens, Jessica Beckham, Jennifer Beckham and Jacob England; and a sister, Anne Beckham Halley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Beckham.

He departed this life Friday, Feb. 14, at his home in Savannah at the age of 87 years, 7 months, 19 days.

Services were held Monday, Feb. 17, at Second Creek Church of Christ in Savannah with Jim Martin officiating. Burial followed at Lutts Cemetery in Savannah.
