Joe Kirkpatrick

Joe Kirkpatrick was born in Savannah on Oct. 28, 1955, the son of the late Raymond Edward and Reba Smith Kirkpatrick.

On June 5, 1987, he was united in marriage to Vivian Franks, who survives.

Mr. Kirkpatrick was a stocker for Foodland. He also had been an escort driver for many years. Mr. Kirkpatrick enjoyed watching tv, sports, NASCAR with Dale Earnhart and Dale Earnhart Jr. His favorite football teams were The Colts and the Tennessee Vols and in baseball he liked the St. Louis Cardinals.

Mr. Kirkpatrick departed this life on Sunday, Nov. 20, at the Hardin Medical Center in Savannah at the age of 56 years and 23 days.

In addition to his wife, Vivian of Savannah, he is survived by two daughters, Marcia Fields of Troy, Tenn., and Elizabeth Lackey of Savannah; one son, Chris Kirkpatrick of Savannah; five grandchildren, Madelyn Fields, Emma Lackey, Kendrick Lackey, Ava Lackey and Caleb Kirkpatrick; two sisters, Carol Phillips and Susan Warren, both of Savannah.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Becky White; and one brother, Billy Kirkpatrick.

Services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 11 a.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Scott Fields and Chris Ozment officiating. Burial followed in the Lutts Cemetery at Lutts, Tenn.
