Joanne Scott Arnold Joanne Arnold was born on Nov. 21, 1923, in Alcorn County, Miss., to the late Clyde Roosevelt and Vera Kirby Scott. On April 25, 1942, she was united in marriage to James E. Arnold of Savannah, who survives. Mrs. Arnold was a homemaker who lived in Hardin County for the better part of her life. She was a member of the Savannah Church of Christ, as well as the Republican Women’s Club. Mrs. Arnold departed this life on Thursday, Feb. 25, at the age of 86 years, 3 months, and 4 days. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Arnold is survived by two sons; Eddie Arnold and his wife Teresa of Pickwick Dam; and Dan Arnold of Columbus, Ohio; two daughters: Ann Hunt of Nashville and Laura Flatt and her husband Andy of Nashville; six grandchildren: Amy O’Bannon, Jay Arnold, Emily Shelton, David Hunt, Ben Flatt, and Elizabeth Flatt, and seven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Arnold was preceded in death by one sister, Clyde McCullough. Services were held on Saturday, Feb. 27, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with David Baker, Howard Rogers officiating. Burial was in the Memory Gardens at Savannah.
