Jimmy Neal Bain, 67, of Savannah, died Thursday, Dec. 25, at Hardin Medical Center.
He was born in Florence, Alabama, son to the late Emory Harvey and Frankie Farris Bain. He was united in marriage to Kathy Dale Baugus, who survives.
Mr. Bain was retired after working for 42 years from the Hardin County Board of Education since June of 2010 as the federal programs director. He was a member of Savannah Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife, Kathy, he is survived by his children, Jeremy Bain of Knoxville and Carrie Ann Higginbotham of Franklin, Tennessee; brother, Joe K. Bain of Brentwood, Tennessee; three nephews; two nieces; three great-nephews; and four great-nieces.
Services were held on Sunday, Dec. 28, at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah with Wes Hazel and Keith Bain officiating. Burial followed in the Campground Cemetery at Hardin County.
