Jessie Nell Scott Franks, 83, of Savannah, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 13, the daughter of the late Jess Franklin Scott and Della Mae Steely Scott.
She was united in marriage to Marlin Dwain Franks, who survives.
Jessie Nell, worked for Brown Shoe Company until having her first child and then served her family as a homemaker. Jessie Nell was a member of First Assembly of God in Savannah, and she later attended Peoples Tabernacle in Savannah.
In addition to her husband of 62 years, Marlin Dwain Franks, Jessie Nell is survived by her son, Ronald Franks; daughters, Denita Franks, and Laressa Franks; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Inez Craig; and brother, Roy Lynn Scott.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Marie Williams; and one brother, Ovid Vernon Scott.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Darryl Worley Cancer Treatment Center in Savannah.
Memorial services were held on Monday, Aug. 19, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Josh Franks officiating. Burial followed at Neill Cemetery in Savannah.
